fat tuesday; a day of feast and celebration in preparation for the long fasting days ahead for catholics. a day when friends and family join in merriment and fun. when your cup never goes empty, and your plate is never light (and incidentally, your belt needs a few new extra notches).

today of all days should be a day to toe the line of committing gluttony-
